Successful "Faculty Day" and Graduation Ceremony 2024 in the Lichthof at Leibniz Universität Hannover
On Friday, 28 June 2024, the ninth "Faculty Day" and Graduation Ceremony took place. More than 500 guests had the opportunity to enjoy the colourful programme with music and speeches. In addition to welcoming speeches by the President, Prof. Volker Epping, the Dean, Prof. Alexander Heisterkamp and the graduation speaker, Dr. Bernd Meyer-Hoppe, a music programme took place also this year. The Graduation Ceremony was accompanied by the jazz trio "World on a string".
The highlights of the event were the keynote speech by Prof. Cord Arnold from the Lund University, Sweden, and the awarding Dr. Andreas Krug with the price in the category "Export course". Another highlight of this year's event was once again the farewell and honouring of the 130 registered graduates in Mathematics, Physics, Meteorology, Nanotechnology and Teaching. After the congratulatory speech from the student representatives, the Dean and Dean of Studies presented the Bachelor's, Master's and doctoral graduates with ceremonial certificates and gifts. After the closing speech by the Dean of Studies, Prof. Wolfram Bauer, the guests enjoyed a champagne reception and party buffet. The event was hosted by Dr. Fritz Schulze-Wischeler.
