Prospective students

If you wish to pursue a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics and do not hold a German school-leaving certificate, the information pages of Leibniz University Hannover provide a detailed overview of the application procedures relevant to you.

Erasmus+

An Erasmus+ stay at Leibniz University Hannover is possible if your home university has a corresponding exchange agreement with our faculty. Please check with your home institution first to see if such an Erasmus+ agreement exists for your field of study.

The International Office and the faculty’s exchange coordinator are happy to assist you with the application process. Further information on Erasmus+ application procedures can be found here.

Joint Degree Programmes

Starting in winter semester 2025/26, the department is offering the International Joint Degree Master's programmes MathMods and RealMaths in cooperation with the University of L’Aquila in Italy. Students apply for the Joint Degree M.Sc. programme directly via the University of L’Aquila.

Studyguides

The offer of the studyguides is directed towards you to make your start of studies in Germany easier and to help with emerging difficulties. The group of experienced students is on hand with help and advice for you, i.e. the start of planning your studies.
