Information about the study procedures at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics during the corona pandemy

CONSULTING SERVICE AT THE FACULTY’S OFFICE OF STUDENT AFFAIRS ONLY ONLINE NOW

For the time being, the regular visiting hours of the study coordinators are canceled. The consulting is provided exclusively by e-mail or by phone. You can also find the contact details of the study coordinators on our website.

What to do if my test for Corona virus is positive?

The disease COVID-19 caused by the coronavirus is one of the notifiable diseases according to the Infection Protection Act. The doctor must report the desease to the responsible health department, which can order a quarantine.


The Presidium asks for an additional notification to the university's doctor Mrs Ellen Aumüller betriebsarzt@zuv.uni-hannover.de


Please inform the Office of the Dean of Studies as well, if in the previous two weeks you took part in courses, examinations etc. at the university.

UPDATED PROCEDURES FOR THE BACHELOR AND MASTER THESES

For theses registered from 01.07.21 onwards, the extension of the processing time will be withdrawn!

The following still applies:

  • For ongoing and from now on until 31.1.2021 (provisionally) registered theses, the maximum processing time will be extended by a flat rate of 1/3 of the processing time provided for in the examination regulations.
  • For individual cases, where e.g. due to lack of access to laboratories or libraries, a special hardship exists, individual applications with longer deadlines can be submitted to the examination board.
  • Final theses are to be sent by e-mail to all examiners and at the same time to the Dean of Studies Office (e-mail: studiensekretariat@maphy.uni-hannover.de). The date of the e-mail is considered the date of submission of the thesis.
  • At the same time, one copy of the Bachelor's thesis or two copies of the Master's thesis are to be sent by post to the Office of the Dean of Studies:   

The printed version of the thesis should be sent to the Faculty’s Office of Student Affairs also by post to:

  • The registration for the final thesis can be done by e-mail. Please make sure that the date of beginning of your processing time is recorded. Send the application form, which has been confirmed by the examiner, together with the granted titel of the thesis, to the responsible officer at the Academic Examination Office by e-mail as PDF-file and also by post:

INFORMATION FOR TEACHING STAFF

VIDEO RECORDINGS

As of now and for the whole semester, (with the exception of 02.06 to 13.06.2020) videos for your own courses can be recorded in the Großer Physikhörsaal, (physics lecture theatre) Audimax and B302. Staff and equipment are available. For availability of slots please enquire by email to studieninfo@maphy.uni-hannover.de.
