Quantum Valley Lower Saxony starts on January 1, 2021

QuantumFrontiers supports the new quantum alliance: The federal state of Lower Saxony, together with universities and research institutions, is developing a quantum computer for Germany by 2025.

"Quantum Valley Lower Saxony" is a newly founded alliance that aims to rapidly advance basic research and industrial transfer. Lower Saxony''s top research has good chances in the global race for quantum technologies. The first meeting of the steering committee took place yesterday evening in Hanover at the Ministry of Science and Culture.

The founding institutions of the new research association "Quantum Valley Lower Saxony" are Leibniz Universität Hannover, TU Braunschweig, the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), the Albert Einstein Institute of the Max Planck Society, the recently founded Institute for Satellite Geodesy and Inertial Sensor Technology of the German Aerospace Center (DLR-SI) and Sartorius AG.
